There are unique challenges that come with studying abroad, but that is all part of the fun and the experience. I decided to study abroad because I wanted to expand my career opportunities and get a top-quality education. Studying abroad helps you appreciate other cultures, overcome challenges of living in another country and gain a greater understanding of the world.

The location of the University of Arkansas is one of the best things about the school. You can find almost anything to do around the area, from nature walks and canoeing to exploring the many activities on Dickson Street, Fayetteville’s major college entertainment district. Fayetteville is routinely considered among the country’s finest college towns, and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas region is regularly ranked one of the best places to live in the U.S.

I chose to study Biomedical engineering because it is the perfect combination of engineering and medicine. It seamlessly combines the design and problem-solving skills of engineering with medical and biological sciences to improve healthcare diagnosis, monitoring and therapy.

Finally, I chose to become an international student ambassador to get involved on campus and help prospective students learn more about the university. Being an ambassador has been a very fun experience and I have met so many amazing people along the way.
