Throughout continental Asia, Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for families to reunite and spend time together and the days leading up to Mid-Autumn week brings a little chaos to the roads and industry dramatically grinds to a halt. Celebrations kick off with a special meal at home, akin to a western Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner before everyone steps out together, often in traditional dress, to enjoy local festivities such as dancing, music, and bright lantern displays.

The Chinese Students & Scholars Association celebrated Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival by welcoming students and community members to campus.

Attendees were invited to play games and participate in activities before the performances at the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival began. Students and residents of NWA, such as Christine, practiced writing Chinese characters.

The event was hosted by the Chinese Students & Scholars Association, who’s aim is to spread Chinese culture across campus and NWA. The evening included vocal performances, beat boxing, and dancing.

Both are students in the Walton College of Business from China. Bowen thought this event was very unique compared to previous years. It merged some games and different elements of the show. That is why he thinks this event was the most successful one yet!
