Hi! I’m Breyanna, and I am from Little Rock, AR, which is the state’s capitol. I am a sophomore Biochemistry major here at the University of Arkansas. I plan to go to medical school after graduation. I chose the UA because it’s the perfect distance from home, has familiar ties, and has strong community support that is felt throughout the state of Arkansas for the UA and its students. I am involved with the campus as a Student Ambassador, giving tours to prospective freshman. I am also an International Student Ambassador, a member of Alpha Delta Pi, and involved in the pre-med society. I am a student in the Honors College, which provides great academic resources for students. My favorite place on campus is definitely the Old Main Lawn because of the beautiful view, and the opportunity to witness the diverse student population here at the U of A. In Fayetteville, my favorite off campus place is Mt. Sequoyah due to the great view of the City of Fayetteville, and the opportunity to enjoy peace and quiet with nature. When it comes to study time, I love studying at my sorority house because it means that my sisters are always around to help with difficult coursework. Whenever I venture off campus for food, I love going to Ginger because it’s close to campus and the sushi is great. When you come to the U of A it’s important to explore campus and Fayetteville because there are so many fun things going on. Pep rallies, carnivals, and concerts are always taking place on campus. In Fayetteville, there is plenty of shopping, random festivals and craft fairs, and even fun places like the local trampoline park and go-cart track. The key to making the most out of your time here at the U of A is to go out and explore and meet new people because the university and Fayetteville have so much to offer.
